Women in Technology WA (WiTWA) Award Winners
At the November 2022 awards night for Women in Technology WA Inc. (WiTWA) , MWA researcher Dr Natasha Hurley-Walker was named winner of the Shining Star award in the category of ‘STEM Academia and Research’ for her work on using radio telescopes to explore the Universe at some of the longest wavelengths of light.
MWA project officer Mia Walker was also named winner of the Women in Technology WA Inc. (WiTWA) Shining Star award in the category of ‘Sales, Marketing and Business Support’ for her role in supporting project operations.
MWA researcher Kat Ross gave a keynote speech at the WiTWA conference about Unconscious Bias and the history of the #IncludeHer movement to increase the diversity of scientists represented in the high school curriculum.
